The fourth annual eSports Award Show was held at Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig, Germany. On Saturday, August 25th all leading heads and top players of the eSports scene gathered at the ESL Intel booth to watch the cream of the crop honoured with the industry's most important accolade.

For the eSports Award Show, the largest stage of the booth was prepared with a multitude of cameras including a crane as well as chairs and stands for the honoraries and visitors. Extensive on-site and TV coverage by GIGA 2 ensured that viewers both at home and at the ESL Intel Arena could fully enjoy the exciting, heart-breaking or flat out funny ceremony.

The show was hosted by Nik Adams and Louise "Aurora" Thomsen. Adams is known as the face of German eSports, while Aurora is herself a former eSports Award winner. Among the presenters were 4K|Grubby, Carmac, Holly Kreie from Intel, David Polfeldt from Massive and Jan-Philipp Reining, inventor of the ESL.

Following the show, all winners and attendees gathered to celebrate the after-show party called Players Lounge. With lots of drinks, the core of the eSports industry partied till late at night. The eSports Award 2007 was the most spectacular Ceremony as of yet and will be fondly remembered by all who had been there.
