Scene Journalist Award
For the third time, the eSports Award recognizes the achievement of Scene Journalists. With this specific eSports Award we honour the performance of eSports writers, enhancing the horizon of their readers with entertaining and worthwhile pieces of journalism. We now announce details of the submission of your articles.


General Rules of Submission
  • Journalists may send in their own work or be suggested as a nominee by their recipients.
  • Multiple works by the same author may be submitted, but we advise to preselect the best article or photo in order to increase chances of nomination.
  • Entries need to be sent via e-mail to contact@esports-award.org. The e-mail has to contain at least the e-mail address, full name and nickname of the author of the submitted work. Further contact details and postal address are welcome.
  • Articles need to be submitted until July 3rd, 2009. To be eligible, the article needs to be published during the time of eligibility, namely July 8th, 2008, and June 30th, 2009.
Special Rules of Submission: Scene Journalist Award
  • The name of the website and the exact web link to where the article has been published is required. If the link is no longer available, a short explanation has to be given.
  • The original articles have to be attached to the e-mail in either .txt, .doc or .odt format.
  • Articles not in the English language have to be translated into English by the sender. The translation can also be published online, but publication is no requirement. It has to be attached to the e-mail though or be delivered later until the end of the submission term on July 3rd, 2009. Foreign language article without English translation will not be considered for nominations.
  • With submission the author grants the eSports Award the right to republish the article in English language on its website in case of a nomination in order
    to permit a fair and transparent voting process. All other rights remain with the author or rights holder.
Voting Process
  • Nominations are based on one single piece of work.
  • Articles chosen for a nomination will be published on the eSports Award website.
  • Any author may only be nominated once for the award in any given year.
  • Five articles will be nominated. The eSports Award reserves the right to increase the number of nominees in any given year in case of a broad spectrum of outstanding works submitted.

Notice: You can still apply for the Best eSports Coverage Award. All eSports websites, that think they deserve a nomination, can apply at contact@esports-award.org until June 18th. We will then compile a list of all websites that applied and make a public poll. The top 5 from this vote will be nominated for the award.
